2015 Toyota Prius Owners Manual – Soon after a redesign for the 2016 model year, which include a new engine and styling, the 2017 Toyota Prius incorporates a lot more common products.
Even the base model involves forwards accidents caution with intelligent crisis braking, adaptive vacation cruise handle, automatic substantial beams, and active lane handle. Everything will come in a package referred to as Toyota Safety Sensation-P.
The powerplant remains a competent 1.8-liter four tube mated to an electric motor and generating a merged 121 horsepower.
The regular battery power pack is an older-technical nickel-metal hydride. Top models use a lithium-ion battery load.
The Prius operates the table with Excellent rankings from the IIHS, earning the Top rated Safety Pick designation.
It is the most effective vehicle on the road with no electric plug, getting an EPA-rated 50/54 mpg City/Highway, 52 mpg Mixed. The Two Eco model receives even more, with 53/58/56 mpg. That’s a 10 percentage development more than the previous technology. And there is a Prius that is more potent, a plug-in called Prius Prime that will go 22 mls on all-electric energy. We review it separately.

It is difficult to visualize model-line nomenclature being a lot more puzzling than that of the Toyota Prius loved ones, with multiple variations employing the Prius brand name. (There is Prius included in this article, plus Prius v and Prius c. Then there is Prius Prime.)
Prius Two ($24,685) comes with a nickel-metal hydride. (There is no Prius A single.)
The sheet metal got a lot more shaped for 2016, especially the nostrils and aspects, but the rear stop obtained confused. The black color roof pillars make the roofline float, but there are two tiny comma-formed tails that seem to be strange, whereby they wrap around the edges of the hatch. They’re low-cohesive details that make the tail appearance even higher than it is, even with the blacked-out base of the bumper.
There are far more non-cohesive components in the cabin that are utterly contradictory. The way the dashboard wraps to the entrance doors can make the interior seem clean and sophisticated, and that we like the musical instrument display with the upmarket color screen and the way the gaming console sweeps into the major touchscreen. But the plastics, textured or shiny, are doubtful, and the receptacles are clunky. The offered two-strengthen beige and gray covers look far more mature, but the optionally available pearlescent-white colored heart gaming system scratches so very easily that they will promote you a $200 cover for doing it.
